Walking today, I was struck by the awesome light fixtures that housed these mosaic looking beads shimmering in the light. Didn't realize until I got close up how spotty the metal was. Oh well, still sort of a neat look no?

Miles Valentine's Day party at school was so cute! Each family prepared a healthy snack, we had a feast and the we had time to make crafts and fill Valentine's bags with our cards. I made a note in my mind to grab my camera, but forgot it in a rush this morning, so my cell phone was the saving grace that captured our moments! I will turn my eyes away from the fact that the quality of these pictures leaves much to be desired, but atleast the "moment" is there!

I stood outside the door while waiting for our "invite" into the room, Miles happened to turn around and was excited to see me waiting there :)

On our way home, my mom met us to give Miles a little treat for Valentine's day :)

The day has finally arrived, the day my little girl decides she is going to be a cheerleader. I grew up a cheerleader and ever so patiently waited for the day that I could watch my little girl do what her mommy did. So many of the cheers are still the same and the little uniforms are just as cute! My heart is so full and completely happy that she is enjoying cheerleading so much!!

Today was the first game! And of course cousin Ali is on her squad which doubles the fun!

So, odd as it may be, we have wild turkeys in our town. They make an appearance once in a while and I had the joy of following one of the slower ones in the group down the street this morning until it hobbled it's way to safety. Then I did what any other normal person would do, I got out of the car to try to get closer to take pictures with my camera. I am not too sure how friendly they are, so when two of them saw me and started walking in a quick fashion towards me, I walked right back to my car for safety :) I drove up the street to a walgreens picked up a single serve Cheerios and hoped they would still be there when I got back. They were! I pulled up, rolled down my window and called them over. Threw the cheerios out of my window and enjoyed watching them as they "Gobbled up" their snack :) So that was my thrill for the day! :)

Acilia is 8 now. 8 years old means that she likes to play with her toys "privately" in her room now. To come across this moment of her playing with her horse so openly outside brought such a sweet feeling in my heart. It was like she was 2 or 3 years old all over again when innocence was just a tad more apparent. I treasure these moments of pure sweetness!
